Agriconnect Meru is an agricultural knowledge and innovation platform created to bridge the gap between agricultural education, practical farming, technology, and economic opportunity.
We believe agriculture is more than farming - it is a pathway to knowledge, employment, entrepreneurship, food security, community development, and sustainable prosperity.
Through practical learning and innovative approaches, Agriconnect Meru seeks to empower students, farmers, young people, entrepreneurs, communities, and other agricultural stakeholders to turn knowledge into meaningful action.
AGRI represents agriculture, food production, natural resources and rural development.
CONNECT represents connecting people with knowledge, skills, technology, markets, opportunities and one another.
Together, Agriconnect represents our commitment to creating meaningful connections that strengthen agriculture and improve livelihoods. Meru reflects our home and agricultural identity while providing a foundation from which knowledge and innovation can reach wider communities.
"To become a leading hub for agricultural knowledge, innovation and sustainable prosperity."
We envision an agricultural sector where individuals and communities have access to the knowledge, technology, skills and opportunities necessary to build productive and sustainable livelihoods.
"To connect people with knowledge, skills, technology and opportunities that transform agriculture and improve livelihoods."
We accomplish this by promoting practical agricultural education, modern farming technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship, sustainable production, youth empowerment, community participation, knowledge sharing, and agricultural opportunities and partnerships.
We pursue high standards in agricultural education, production, innovation and service.
We encourage creative thinking and appropriate technologies.
We promote practices that protect resources while creating lasting benefits.
We turn knowledge into practical results.
We equip individuals and communities with knowledge and opportunities.
We operate with honesty, responsibility, transparency and respect.
Whether you are a student, farmer, entrepreneur, agricultural professional, institution, investor or development partner, there is a place for you at Agriconnect Meru.
